West Ham striker Andy Carroll can be seen modelling the new kit in one of the launch promotion photos. The England striker had just been confirmed as the club’s record signing after signing a new six year deal. Carroll played for the Hammers on loan last season but has now completed the move from Liverpool.
Carroll took up the opportunity to try on the new strip and immediately gave it the thumbs up. He said: “It’s a nice kit, it fits well and looks smart so I’m looking forward to playing in it.
“I’ll be over the moon to pull on the claret and blue for the first game of the season. It’s a great chance for me to show what I’m about – I can’t wait to get going.”
Fans appear to be happy with the new Adidas kit. Early reaction we’ve seen has been largely positive.
