Here we have a classic Barcelona football shirt from the 2004-2005 season. This was the Spanish giant’s home shirt when they won the La Liga title for the first time in six years. In fact it was their first trophy for six years. The squad had undergone some major changes and included new signing Samuel Eto’o, along with World Player of the Year Ronaldinho, Xavi and Deco. This was also the season the great Lionel Messi made his first team debut.
The FA announced today (Sept 3rd 2012) that Nike will supply kits for the England team from Spring 2013. This brings an end to England’s long association with Umbro and will no doubt be controversial among England’s more traditional fans that liked the association with Umbro and, on the whole, liked the kits Umbro produced over the years.
