Spanish giants Barcelona have signed an innovative new shirt sponsorship deal with American technology multinational, Intel. The most notable point about the new deal is that the ‘Intel Inside’ logo will be printed on the inside of the shirt. This is the first time the shirt has ever featured a sponsorship logo in such a position.
Barcelona officially presented their big new signing, Brazilian star, Neymar, before an estimated 56,500 fans at the Camp Nou. It’s reported that the young star will play in the number eleven shirt, which was worn by Thiago Alcantara during the 2012-13 La Liga season.
FC Barcelona has revealed their new home and away shirts and kits for the 2013-14 season. Kit partners Nike say they have combined the club’s renowned tradition with their modern and progressive approach, creating a distinctly Blaugrana appearance.
Here we have a classic Barcelona football shirt from the 2004-2005 season. This was the Spanish giant’s home shirt when they won the La Liga title for the first time in six years. In fact it was their first trophy for six years. The squad had undergone some major changes and included new signing Samuel Eto’o, along with World Player of the Year Ronaldinho, Xavi and Deco. This was also the season the great Lionel Messi made his first team debut.
