Manchester City has revealed their new away shirt and kit for the 2013/14 season. The new away strip is made by Nike and the main kit sponsor is Etihad Airways. The kit was revealed in Hong Kong on their pre-season tour.
Manchester City has already launched their new 2013/14 home kit which we reported on here. City’s new away strip features a shirt that has two halves in black and charcoal. The new design pays homage to the club’s founding fathers; Ardwick AFC played in a half and half design and Gorton AFC wore black shirts. City were originally formed as St Mark’s in 1880, which became Gorton AFC in 1884 and then Ardwick AFC in 1887 before becoming Manchester City in the 1890’s.
The new away shorts are black, and the away socks are black with a dark charcoal band at the top.
