Here we have a classic Leeds United football shirt from the 2000-2002 seasons. This was the Yorkshire club’s home shirt when Leeds were a top Premier League team challenging for a place in the top four and reaching the Champions League semi-final in 2001. However, much was staked on further qualifying for the Champions League and the failure to do so sparked massive financial problems and the clubs subsequent fall from the top flight.
The players at the club during this period included Mark Viduka, Robbie Fowler, David Batty, Alan Smith and Danny Mills. David O’Leary was the manager but was sacked at the end of the 2002 season.
