The new away shirt is red and continues the English tradition made famous in the 1966 World Cup Final victory. The shirt also incorporates the famous English Cross of St. George, although it may not be immediately apparent. The shirt has pinstripes which combine with a tonal rendering of the national flag, which is only visible when viewed from a distance.
The shirt has a round neck collar and the crest is presented in a satin weave to increase the brightness of the Three Lions.
The official first choice shorts, which come in a slimmer cut than previous versions, are in white with a red strip down the sides, although red shorts may be worn during the tournament. The strip is completed with red socks.
