Here we have a classic Barcelona football shirt from the 2004-2005 season. This was the Spanish giant’s home shirt when they won the La Liga title for the first time in six years. In fact it was their first trophy for six years. The squad had undergone some major changes and included new signing Samuel Eto’o, along with World Player of the Year Ronaldinho, Xavi and Deco. This was also the season the great Lionel Messi made his first team debut.
Here we have a classic Leeds United football shirt from the 2000-2002 seasons. This was the Yorkshire club’s home shirt when Leeds were a top Premier League team challenging for a place in the top four and reaching the Champions League semi-final in 2001. However, much was staked on further qualifying for the Champions League and the failure to do so sparked massive financial problems and the clubs subsequent fall from the top flight.
Here we have a vintage West Bromwich Albion football shirt from the 2002-03 season. This was ‘The Baggies’ home shirt and the season was notable as it was their first season in the Premier League and their first season in the top flight of English football since 1985-86. Here we have a vintage Chelsea football shirt from Seasons 1990-1992. This was the away shirt and as you can see was predominately red and white, with a diamond like pattern. The shirt was produced by Umbro. I wonder how popular this shirt was among the Chelsea fans. Continue reading
