Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard will join England’s exclusive 100 club in the friendly match with Sweden later this evening. Gerrard will join Billy Wright, Bobby Charlton, Bobby Moore, Peter Shilton and David Beckham as only the sixth England player to reach a century of appearances for his country.
The FA announced today (Sept 3rd 2012) that Nike will supply kits for the England team from Spring 2013. This brings an end to England’s long association with Umbro and will no doubt be controversial among England’s more traditional fans that liked the association with Umbro and, on the whole, liked the kits Umbro produced over the years.
