Here is the new Cardiff City home shirt and kit for 2013-14. The new two-tone red kit will be worn in the 2013-14 Premier League season. The new kits are produced by Puma and Malaysia are the kit sponsors.
Cardiff City won promotion to the Premier League after winning the 2012-13 Championship. Cardiff City revealed the new kit on their website and explained the new design as follows; “The club decided to maximise on the Puma King design and adopt a two-tone red home kit this season, helping us stand out in the Premier League crowd. The two Puma King stripes reflect the fans loyalty to the club, which is appreciated by all.”
It has to be said that the early reaction we’ve seen so far from fans hasn’t been very positive. Traditionalists were not happy with the red re-branding exercise and new club crest in 2012, and many are commenting on the two-tone red design. It remains to be seen whether the majority of fans can be won over. A successful season in the Premier League may help.
