Aston Villa has revealed their new home, away and goalkeepers’ shirts and kits for the 2013-2014 season. Macron is the kit manufacturer. Dafabet, an Asian online betting website, will be the Official Main Club Sponsor and their logo features on the new kits.
The home shirt has the traditional Villa look and is said to closely resemble the shirt worn when Villa achieved their top honour, winning the European Cup in the 1981/82 season. It has a striped v-neck collar and the club’s motto, ‘Prepared’, is embossed on the reverse.
The away shirt sees a new design with white and blackcurrant quarters to both the front and back of the shirt. The shirt has a vintage collar with a v-neck drop and ribbed striped cuffs. Again, the club’s ‘Prepared’ motto is embossed on the back.
Villa also revealed new goalkeepers’ kits for the new 2013/14 season.
The new strips seem to have split opinions between the fans. We’ve seen comments praising both the home and away kits, but equally we’ve also seen negative comments directed at the away shirt in particular.
